Most people don't know when their children were conceived. We knew the exact minute.
One year ago today, Boom Boom and Pow (along with all of their siblings) were created! It is absolutely amazing how they went from two cells each in a petri dish to the precious boys we are holding today. Unbelievable. I went back and read the
post that I wrote exactly one year ago, and it gives me chills. If our donor wasn't anonymous, I would find her and give her the biggest hug. She was a selfless rockstar and gave us the greatest gifts ever.
We spent that week in Charleston, and ended up transferring Boom Boom and Pow on the Fourth of July...hence, their nicknames. So, the Fourth is going to be a pretty big day for us this year. We plan on having a little celebration for our miracle boys and I can't wait!
I just can't believe it's already been a year. I wish I would have known then what I know now...the future has turned out to be much better than we could have ever imagined! Thank you God for giving our doctors the knowledge to help us become parents!

| Weekend before the transfer...hanging out with my sis and our friends! |
 |
| The looooong five day wait while our embabies grew..nothing like the beach to get rid of some nervous energy! |
 |
| Weekend before our transfer...ice cream date! |
 |
| Waffle cones rock. |
Little did we know that five days later, we would become Mommy & Daddy! So grateful!
 |
| Yep, we were partying in the petri dish this time last year. Woohoo! |

Happy Eggiversary. I was emotional today celebrating one year since my sister's donation. Life is good!
What a wonderful anniversary to celebrate!!
Oh wow....that is amazing. All children are a miracle from God, but to know the exact moment of conception and to SEE your children develop from that moment is totally miraculous! Out of curiosity, does the woman who donated her eggs know you got pregnant and had twins? Is there any way of contacting her? I just wonder if she knows about the beautiful family she helped create and how truly special she is for doing that.
Thank you! I wish she did know, and wish we had some way to contact her, but we can't because the cycle was completely anonymous:( Our clinic's program doesn't allow the donors to know the outcomes. The only way we could communicate is if they ended up with some crazy genetic problem, in that case our clinic would contact the donor to make her aware.
What a wonderful recap of this time last year. Have a great time celebrating all you have this 4th of July! The boys are so cute!
Wow, it's so amazing to think about how much can change in a year!!

LOVE THIS POST!!!!!!
Awesome thing isn't it? I will always know January 31st, 2010 to be the conception date of my twins. I love knowing it!
Your boys are getting cuter and cuter by the minute! Love those smiles!!!!
Your story gives me so much hope. Thank you for sharing it with all of us on the interwebs. Your boys are beautiful and you seem like immensely proud and grateful parents.
Just did a DE cycle myself and hoping I'll be singing a different tune in a year. Thanks for reminding me that it can (and does) happen.
How can people say they don't believe in God?? God is SO good! Love all of you!
