October 5- February 27

Omg.

I blinked and a year went by. Just like that.

In less than one week, my Boom Boom & Pow will be one year old! I can't believe it! This last year has been a complete blurrrrrrr.

With every day that passes, I have felt a sense of extreme guilt for not keeping this updated. I want this blog to not only document our journey through infertility, but also serve as a place where I can go back and remember every little detail about every cute little milestone. My goal is to publish my blog into a book one day! Not for profit, of course. Just for us.

Ooops.

Somewhere in the mix, I managed to document most of it...in my phone. Lol. Anytime something happened, I would make a quick note and save it. Therefore, I am going to transfer all of my sleep deprived/grammatically incorrect/unorganized notes before I accidentally delete the five million messages on my phone!

Be warned...a lot has happened since their last update. Sorryyyyyy. We took them to the doctor EVERY WEEK from August to December. They even had tubes placed, and Anderson was hospitalized for pneumonia before Christmas. Crazy.

The boys aren't going to do their own update this time because they're on restriction for sneaking the laptop in their crib at night.

Lol. I don't smoke crack. Promise.

Hmmm. Where to start. I guess I'll separate everything by weeks!

10/8/12, 31 weeks. I have to dress A backwards. They love doing "downward dog" yoga pose to propel themselves forward...sometimes shimmying across the floor while in that position. A looooves solids, especially sweet potatoes. A is also army crawling down hallway! B is suddenly obsessed with paci. Visited pumpkin patch for the first time! Ear infections #5 for A, and #3 for B. Doc prescribed Omnicef.

10/15/12, 32 weeks. Anderson holds tongue out of mouth...all day. First road trip to Florence, SC for family photo session! Slept most of the time:) A is army crawling fast. B likes to jump like a rabbit. Went to Colonial Times Festival and watched them shoot cannonballs into woods. Also changed crappy diapers after cannonball fire and promptly left.

10/22/12, 33 weeks. Felt B's first tooth coming in! Bottom right. They both look for us through crib rails. A took nose dive off end of our bed...he's okay. Mom of the year. Took them to Hobby Lobby, Best Buy, and Target...by myself. They love pureed carrots, sweet potatoes, fruit medley, bananas, green beans, peas, pears, squash, and zuccini. B said "t" sound and baba. Dressed as Mario & Luigi for Halloween costume contest.

10/29/12, 34 weeks. First Halloween...pirates...arrrrgh matey! First trick-or-treat was Mmmie K's house. A sick all week with fever 104...took to doctor and "just a cold". Went back to doctor AGAIN and both have ear infections. #6 for A, and #4 for B. Had to take to doctor every day this week & weekend for Rocephin injections...ouch! Since we lived at doctor's office, A almost pulled up on one of the E coli infested office toys. Yay!

11/5/12, 35 weeks (8 months!) Finally got to take the cruise we previously canceled 2 times because of infertility appointments. Really didn't want to leave them! Mmmie K & Daddy Mike kept them at our house. A pulled up in crib this morning for mom...missed it! B sick again...doc thought he had flu but kept testing negative. Worried sick about him all during cruise and hard to get in touch back home. Got home and got stomach virus myself. Fun times. B's bottom R tooth all the way in!

11/12/12, 36 weeks. B pulling up in crib now! Crawling better and into everything. Now Andy & I have flu. Awesome. B's bottom left tooth in now. Neither sleeping through night...will get up 4-5x/night. B started waving bye bye and even said it once! They love exersaucer. Ate puffs without gagging. Somewhat eating mashed foods; will occasionally gag and throw everything up. Love banana popsicles. A saying Ga Ga. They love forts! First big boy baths!

11/19/12, 37 weeks. First Turkey Day. Holding bottles better, but not quite by themselves. A has fever again. Both have ear infections again. #7 for A and #5 for B. Finally got ENT referral. A waved bye bye. B says "cockadoodledoo" sound...lol. Felt A's bottom R tooth poking through. Had to separate boys and start cry-it-out at night for A....no other option. He's getting up every hour wanting milk.

11/26/12, 38 weeks. B said bye bye yesterday...waves when you say it to him. First birthday party...cousin Morgan's 3rd...princess theme! Dressed as princes. They hate getting dressed and diapers changed now. They scream and fight it. I think A said mama? Eating Cheerios good. Both standing in cribs. Interacting and smiling at each other a lot more. They love our dog Griswold, and love to watch him through backdoor. Went to tree farm and picked out our first family Christmas tree...they are obsessed with it. Had to decorate the top half only and put a gate around it. Went to mall and met Santa! Also started a family tradition of picking out yearly ornaments from Hallmark. We let them grab whichever one they wanted. Ha! A picked a Toy Story guitar, and B picked the Seven Dwarfs. Made reindeer footprints with paint on canvas. First ENT visit...tube surgery on 12/4.

12/3/12, 39 weeks. Daddy Mike's 60th Birthday! A pretty much sleeping through night after 10 days of cry-it-out. Awful. Still having to separate them at night because waking each other up. Both got tubes placed. B was sick again with fever but they did it anyway. A sick with fever the day after tubes. On antibiotic and steroid ear drops. B said mama! They discovered pots & pans. Started fighting over wooden spoons and could have sworn B said "mine!".

12/10/12, 40 weeks. A still sick, bad cough and fever on and off. Took to doctor but "just a virus going around". Visited Mandaddy. Had to take A to ER on 12/13 because of 103 fever, lethargy, and shallow/labored breathing...hospitalized with pneumonia after 12 hour ER fiasco. Got IV antibiotics, oxygen, and breathing treatments. Flirted with all of the nurses and did a booty dance for them. D/C'd on 12/15. Playroom finally finished. 9 month checkup: A 21 lb, B 23.5 lb. They are crawling much faster, and A is kind of cruising.

12/17/12, 41 weeks. A is air humping and trying to french kiss everybody. A doing lip songs with finger and clapping. He's also doing the Indian chant when we put our hand up to his mouth. So funny. They follow each other everywhere. B is kind of mean to A...A just stares at him in adoration, or bursts out crying and wants me to hold him. Both pulling up on my legs.

12/24/12, 42 weeks. Both cruising, both holding bottles. A talking a lot more and standing up for himself. Tube checkup, all looks good. Colds and fevers again. First Christmas! Granny B, Paw Paw, Aunt Lala, and Hailey Mae visit. On 12/28, A stood by himself for 2 seconds. He will also booty dance on command.

12/31/12, 43 weeks. Both giving high fives. A's bottom left tooth coming in. B getting a third tooth on bottom right. They follow me everywhere. Like to chase balls. Like to hold on to activity table and walk down hall together. B saying banana (na-na-na), mama, and dada. A saying bah bah and rambles an oriental-like language. They both get sooo excited when we come home from work...they race to us and fight to be the first held.

1/7/13, 44 weeks. They are really rough with each other. Destroy the house in 3 seconds. Love rough play and hanging upside-down. Love tents & forts. Chase each other in & out of plastic tube while giggling. I think A understands "no" now. A lovessss finger foods. He smacks when he eats. A has a rat tail and B has a mullet, but I refuse to cut hair until first bday. We had our first family meals at table on 1/12/13. For lunch, they had bite size pieces of rotisserie chicken, green beans, rotini pasta..loved it. For dinner we had mango/pear chicken, green beans, carrots, & pasta. Like to play chase in hallway...we will hold them and run up and down over and over again. A saying rah rah. Started "letter of the day" this week. We pick a letter and come up with words that start with that letter all day. Have to separate them during naps now...A in crib and B in swing.

1/14/13, 45 weeks. Keep each other up at bedtime...playing in cribs. Toss things from crib to crib. Learning we will pick up what they drop. Will go in nursery and everything will be thrown out of cribs and onto floor. B blowing cheeks. They love to beeline for electrical cords and tv antenna. We tell A no and he goes straight for it while giggling. B blowing kisses with both hands at one time. Will throw themselves back when we pick them up because they want to hang upside-down. B two front teeth poking through...has been really fussy and not sleeping again. A saying guhs and still speaking foreign languages.

1/21/13, 46 weeks. B "barks" at Griswold, saying "uh-uh-uh". A has all 4 front teeth on top coming in at same time. Ouch. B wants to get in bed with us around 6 every AM. Both wheezing again. A waving bye bye a lot more consistently. B will stand up on own, but plops on butt once he realizes it. A seems scared, but will stand for about 3 seconds if you help him. Have discovered cabinets and oven drawer.

1/28/13, 47 weeks. All four of B's top front teeth breaking through now...and another on the bottom. Went to church groundbreaking and they got to dig in some dirt! B standing better...won't be long! He loves to walk with activity walker. B grinding teeth...guess they are bothering him. You can see front teeth now when they smile. A can open doors. They find any door and love to constantly open & close it (they work together with this). First vienna (Gerber) sausage...gag. They loved it and continue to shovel food in their mouths at mealtime.

2/4/13, 48 weeks. Baney's high-pitched shrill is back. Taught B how to hug. B is standing for longer periods. They just stare and laugh at each other, and then try to beat each other up. A is a climber...mom watched him move a storage container in front of coffee table and use it to climb up on coffee table. A is definitely mama's boy...he loves to snuggle and love on me. They looooove Annie and any movie/show with music. B playing peek-a-boo beside couch with us...will squat down and pop up! So cute.

2/11/13, 49 weeks. B thinks it's funny to do fake cough. First Valentine's Day! First Vday cards from Aunt Ebeth. Also got one from cousin Morgan. Baney took one step on 2/15!!! Mom saw, I was at work. B back to MD with bad cough waking him up all night. Put on breathing treatments again, 3x/day. Play peek-a-boo with each other at bedtime through cribs. B loves to be rocked in glider at nap time and fall asleep on my chest. So sweet.

2/18/13, 50 weeks. Baney still hasn't taken step for me. Aunt Leeann and Uncle Tooke came to visit! Went to D&D's first birthday party (coworker's twin boys that were born 2 weeks before A&B!). They are still piggies and eat everything...very healthy appetites. I think B is trying to "sing" with shows and Disney movies. He will become entranced and start screaming every time a song comes on. Lol. B clenches hand when waving bye bye now. A loves pulling everything out of fridge, taking baths in the dog bowl water, and climbing in the dishwasher. A has eight teeth, 4 on top and 4 on bottom. B has 6ish, 4 on bottom and 2 on top...with 2 top incisors maybe coming in. Baney took a step for us on 2/24!!!!! Went on family walk to neighborhood park for first time...got to swing and play in bouncy car/duck thingie.

2/25/13, 51 weeks. B takes about 2 steps now before falling! A loves to be pushed around in his red car really fast...he also likes to ram it into walls like a bumper car...got some trouble on our hands I do believe. This week to be continued!

Good Lawd. I think that I'm just going to do my five million picture updates in a separate post! Here are a couple of the most recent pictures of them. I love my handsome fellas!

I hope that everyone is doing well...I'm trying to catch up on everybody's blogs. I know that I've been horrible at commenting and I apologize. My babies get the best of me:) I will try to do better this year! Love to you all!
